SWS Junior Tour

This year's Junior tour takes place from August 22 to August 25 and will be held at our sister club, Rouen in France.

This is a triangular tournament between EGHC, Rouen as well as Flottbek from Hamburg in Germany.  The relationship between these clubs has endured for well over 75 years and remains a deeply prized relationship for all three clubs.

SWS means Sebastian Woff Stiftung and is a foundation initiated by Hinrich and Doni Wolff in memory of their late son Sebastian.  Sebastian went from his home in Hamburg to study and play hockey in Rouen in 2000.  Sebastian passed away in 2002 after a tragic road accident, and as a result his parents setup the foundation in Sebastian's memory.

The SWS tournament itself has been running for over 20 years and the Junior sections of the three clubs have been closely connected since much earlier with matches being played between then since the 1980s.
